Leo Lionni
Leo Lionni was a children’s book author and illustrator. He was born May 5, 1910. Leo’s childhood room was a zoo with all different types of animals. His uncle started giving him drawing lessons when he was 7 years old. Starting at age 8, Leo learned 5 languages from his teachers at school.
When Leo was 20, he met a girl named Nora, and in that same year they got married. The two loved each other and had 2 sons. 10 years later Leo was forced to do advertisements on TV.
A few years later Leo wrote his first book called, Little Blue and Little Yellow. His children gave him the idea to write books and Leo went for it. Not too long after that, Leo was so fond about writing; he decided to write more books for children like Swimmy or Frederick and so many more!
Soon, his books got published and went to libraries and stores all around the world and he became a very famous author for children everywhere.
